The India Art Fair 2022—the fair’s 13th edition—was held from 28 April to 1 May 2022 at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds in Okhla, New Delhi.

Exhibitors & Participation
This edition featured a strong contingent of 77 exhibitors, including 63 galleries and 14 institutional participants representing 16 cities across India and beyond.

Program Highlights

Welcomed back a full house of collectors, enthusiastic buyers, artists, curators, young collectors, and students—the fair reaffirmed its role as a leading South Asian cultural marketplace.
Included over 500 modern and contemporary artists, an oversubscribed auditorium talks programme, impactful outdoor art installations, Artist-in-Residence workshops, dynamic performances, and a reimagined Platform section spotlighting underrepresented traditional and folk Indian art.
Launched The Studio, a cutting-edge section dedicated to experimentation with art and technology. Notable installations included:
An interactive AR display by BeFantastic (with support from Tezos India)
A visitor-centric urban pollution installation by Khoj International Artists’ Association
A light-and-shadow installation by Tapan Moharana, presented by Space 118
Sustainability & Inclusive Design

Emphasizing sustainability, the fair reused tent structures across events, and repurposed the façade installation by Anshuka Mahapatra into urban shelter materials and eco products like bags, mats, and folders. Future editions aim to shift branding materials from flex to fabric and canvas.
Commitment to accessibility: included wheelchair ramps, accessible seating, nursing rooms, Braille guides, tactile artworks, and Inclusion Lab tours and workshops designed for visitors of all abilities.
